Hiking in Portugal, a southern country with a relaxed, Mediterranean-style culture whose inhabitants are warm, friendly and welcoming. They enjoy nothing more than eating and drinking with friends and family. Although it's a small country, it has a vast variety of landscapes, mountains, dry planes, green rolling hillsides with rivers and streams, rocky, steep coasts and sandy beaches. Portugal has beautiful historic towns and charming villages and everywhere you will find terraces and cafés where the Portugese like to drop in for a drink or a snack. In the villages the olive and grape harvests are an important annual event and village people still slaughter their cattle, make their own wine and local shepherds can be seen tending their goats. As they say in these parts, "Portugal tem tudo" (Portugal has it all !).

It has everything to offer you a pleasant and interesting holiday. Ideal for hiking.
